In Fallout Tactics you could recruit a Deathclaw mother and her brood. Unleashing them on some poor bastards who have no answer to this problem was always extremely satisfying.

IRL, well i got .308 and 12 gauge slug out the ass so... I guess I have what I have. I also have a bulldozer and backhoe, so killdozering my way to victory could be viable.

Last playthrough I found the BAR pretty goddamn good against deathclaws, I think it was JSP or AP rounds, but with maxed guns, crouch/sneak attack without vats were blowing limbs clear off and instakill in a single burst; decent if they could actually see you and were charging too although not as spectacular

I liked getting on top of the tower in the middle of the quarry with the heavy sniper rifle, 50bmg whatever it was, with incendiary rounds. I would just snipe the limbs off the babies and the heads off the adults. Good fun.

I've one-shot-killed deathclaws with the .308 hunting rifle. Sure, it was a sneak attack crit with a gun skill of 100, a 100 percent condition fully upgraded rifle, and I was running .308 AP, but it was still a valid kill

I remember when I killed my first deathclaw.

I ended up on the back of a truck, fucker couldn't climb on. Emptied all my guns at it, still wouldn't die so I started hitting it with close combat weapons from just far enough so it couldn't hit me back. Broke a machete or two on it, finished it with a fucking pool cue.

And it was just the young one that stands at the entry of Quarry Junction.

Another time I was in the quarry and ran out of 308 had to finish with 5.56. It took days.

But in the end it's just that : stand on a rock and shoot them with anything until they die. Using a Fat Man of Gauss rifle is just being macho and saving time.

I really hope NPCs ad creatures will be able to climb or fly up rocks and cliffs (cazadores for fuck's sake...). Would make the game a lot more exciting than jut playing "you can't reach me".
