Lol, believe what you want Anon it's your life. I'll go out on a limb here being presumptuous and say, you don' know dick about shotguns. I have a couple of m4's but they aren't by my bed
I would never dream of using a AR in a situation like a home invasion-You need to find a firearms training class somewhere and enroll before you hurt yourself or even worse, someone else.

My question for you operators is. Doesn't a long barrel weapon hinder you in a household setting? It pokes out around corners before you do, it requires both hands to carry? Would you guys just sit back in a defensive position with it or would you clear rooms? I'm just curious because in my mind I would prefer to have a pistol & a free hand. I realize the spread of shotguns are nice and fully auto is awesome I just wasn't sure what you guys thought about length issues.

Those things said, shotguns are still excellent home defense weapons. Buckshot is about as close as you can get to a guaranteed one-shot stop. Though I personally wouldn't use mine as it's got a 7-shell magazine and is therefore too long to maneuver around corners, the appeal is easy to see.

A Saiga 12 SBS would be what I consider the best possible home defense weapon. Alas I am a poorfag.

True enough, but still, a full-auto in a home defense situation seems unlikely. I've only ever fired full auto on a rental range. Most fun you can have with clothes on imo.

Yup, works great so long as I don't use chokes.
I was hoping I could push it out a little further using them, but I think it just disturbs the buckshot as it leaves the barrel so it flies all over.
It's one of those situations where I'd kill for a slow motion camera to see what's really happening.
