Found this. What other cool devices are being developed for operating?

http://popularmilitary.com/air-force-creates-real-life-light-saber-used-for-breaching/

>Take, for example, the Tec Torch, an incredibly powerful tool that can generate a blade-shaped flame that rips through a half-inch steel bar in less than a second.

>Reminiscent of Luke Skywalker’s light saber, the handheld torch weighs about a pound and is just 13 inches in length and 1.5 inches in diameter. Able to reach temperatures of around 5,000 F, the flame is propelled at a speed of around a mile per second.

>Rather than being used to duel with Darth Vader and the forces of the Empire, however, this tool helps special operations forces and first responders blast through fences, locks, vehicles and other metal objects that stand between them and their objectives. The flashlight-sized torch can even be used underwater, allowing divers to utilize its incredible force.

>“It works through a combination of chemistry and physics,” said Stephanie Johnson, a research chemist and program manager at the lab. “The extremely high heat renders the steel to a molten state, and the force of the propulsion erodes the material very rapidly.”

>The torch was developed by Energetic Materials & Products, Inc. in conjunction with the Air Force’s Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer program. The Texas-based company responded to a request from AFRL for ideas to produce a product that would replace the 16-pound acetylene torches traditionally used by special operators.

So for quite a bit i have been taken the barrel off my shotgun and putting it in its original box with unopened shells (normally in a walmart bag where i buy them) in my trunk....been reading the law and am wondering if this is legal?

Do i need to seperate the ammo from the weapon in my car?

Or am i good to go?

self-defence

I really need an advice.

First things first. I live in Germany, in a quiet neighbourhood. But there is a "settlement" near me and its getting crowded by arabs. There already report of break-ins. I think about some self-defence weapons. I've already got a pepper-sray but I am going to get some blunt weapons like a baseball bat. I really thought about to get a gun but its nearly impossible for me to get one legally. So /k/ can you give me any advices for a non-lethal weapon?

ITT: Wildcat Ideas/Original Cartridges Ideas

No.27742134 ViewReplyReportDelete
Thread title says it all, we spitball about wildcats or original cartridges, and if our wildcats have been produced hopefully some helpful anon can link us to it.

My personal ideas are as follows:
>10mm necked down to .17
Super AP

>Subsonic .50 that can chamber 900gr .510 bullets, preferably in an AR-15 or (less desirably) AR-10
Silent Sledgehammer. Yes, I know of the .510 hushpuppy, I'd want to make it specifically around the 750+ grain weights, subsonic only preferably. As far as I know .50 Beo can't handle the heavier .510 bullets.

>A real fuckin shotgun FSDS round, preferably with a .30 cal projectile (dart) or smaller

My dick has always been hard for that idea, if it were accurate shotguns would instantly be given even MORE versatility.

Bolt-action opinions?

No.27738497 ViewReplyReportDelete
Thinking about buying myself a rifle for Christmas. I don't have any real need for it, so I'm not too certain on what exactly I want. Right now we only own a Savage .22 bolt-action.

Should I just go Remington 700 and call it a day? Should I avoid the "budget" models? What am I looking at spending for a good, but not excellent (can't afford excellent) rifle?

Also, I'm thinking .308. Something that won't kill my budget or shoulder to fire, and I can use to take the occasional whitetail.

Pic related, but slightly out of my price range.

Help me /k/

I just put pic related on pic related and I'm having problems. With out the can my p220 runs just fine. I've had zero problems with it. I just got my osprey yesterday and shot it for the first time today. It seemed like every so many rounds I had to bump the the gun back into battery. I've tried 8 different mags (all of which worked fine last weekend) and several different kinds of ammo. Limp wristing came to mind but like I said the gun works fine with out the can. The only thing I can think of would be a new or heavier recoil spring. Any thing else I can try?
