Every firearm just requires a license of its own, which is only given for a good, specific purpose. Certain sports and take-down / cave hunting activities are few examples for that.

The authorities do require a proof of 2 years worth of active participation in the said sport before they start considering giving licenses to handguns or mil-style semiauto rifles.
It's quite easy to get long guns for hunting though, since you need to pass a hunter's exam beforehand in the first place.

So how long did you look for the Westvleteren before realizing, as everyone that can't travel to the monastery inevitably does, that you would have to settle for the Bernardus?

For me it was about a year, and the final kick in the balls was when I went t a total wine asking for it the day after I heard they got a couple cases delivered 3 years ago. They told me if I had wanted some, I should have been camping out the night before the delivery came in.

Literally anywhere. Anything that isn't a gas station cigar is a step up. You might still have those from time to time once you get to better cigars, but you'll much prefer hand rolled, trust me.

even liquor stores are a step up from gas stations. Just go into a liquor store, walk to the glass display where they have the big cigars, and buy like 3 or 4 cigars, you can spend anywhere from 3$ per cigar to 6$ or higher, but I've found that the price doesn't always mean a better taste.

Im not familiar with websites that rate cigars but I'm sure they exist.

I got tired of seeing the shit and not trying it, so I bought a six pack.

It was surprisingly good. Shared with brother and friend. Was enjoyed by all.
