>>27674847>Which mags should I buy, /k/?Latest gen windowless pmag in black with dust cover. Pmags have the best follower, function flawlessly, the dust cover helps keep dust out but also protects feed lips, the polymer is quieter than steel and they're pretty cheap. Nearly every single gun store sells them as you go down the road, all your magazines will match, except for the number you put on them and the newest gen has a nifty little number grid just for that. Surplus mags are also acceptable. Avoid everything that isn't traditional steel or pmag.
>How much should I pay?You mean going rate? $12 to $17 depending on type and location.
>How many should I have?I prefer an odd number, 3, 5, 7 or 9. Really 3 is the minimum you should have for any gun. More than 9 gets to be excessive and pointless unless you're hoping to resell them during a scare or something, in that case leave them in the bag and don't think of them as magazines but rather commodity. To that end, 3 to 9 still holds. Why an odd number? Mag pouches often hold them in multiples of 2. So lets say you get a mag carrier that holds 2 or 4 or 6 or 8, you can fill it up plus have one in the gun.
Hope that answers all your questions OP.
