hello /k/ canadian here,

I run a corner store in a bit of a bad neighborhood and we got robbed today by a guy with a kitchen knife.

When faced with this guy I realized there is not much I can do to stop him without risking getting btfo.

We don't carry any kind of weapon for defense, what could be a good weapon for defending against this type of situation? suggestions would be welcome

I guess a baseball bat or something with a reach and some heft to it would be best but was wondering if there are other suggestions
