I'm 25 years old and moving to a new area soon, and I think it's about time I finally bought a gun. The place I'm moving to has a healthy shooting culture and having something for home defense isn't a bad idea. What would /k/ suggest for a first timer? What was your first gun? I'm willing to spend about $1200, give or take the ammunition/accessories. I've heard Glocks are pretty good albeit a bit played out.
