So I'm in the market for my first full size 9mm I've narrowed it down to either the CZ 75 SP-01, or the CZ SP-09. They both feel comfortable in my hands and hey both appear to be excellent handguns. I was wondering which one you /k/ommandos would recommend? Which one do you think is more accurate, reliable, and overall better out of the box?

I don't think you can say either one is objectively better, it's more about what you want. One is full metal, so that's heavier, but you get grip options and in general more mod options because the design has been around longer. The P-09 is lighter, has a lighter trigger, but hasn't been around for quite as long so accessories aren't as popular, but they're getting there. I chose the P-09 because I had a hard time reaching the DA trigger and mag release of the SP-01 because of the larger grip. Also I wanted to carry the gun so the weight gave the advantage to P-09.

I wanted full size. It was little funny, I was going to get the P-07 but was a little let down because I was settling for something that wasn't entirely what I wanted. But then the P-09 came out at shot show and I knew what I was getting.

Had the same dilemma, eventually bough the sp01 shadow.
The p09 and p07 just feel cheap (the plastic), did not like the trigger on them at all (too long reset and too long overall).
I ended up installing a SAO trigger on my shadow along with a competition hammer, but even without mods it outperformes the p09 with ease.
It is noticably heavier, but it pleases my heart so I don't mind carrying it as my main carry gun.
