Wow its fucking nothing. The US Army Marksmanship Unit and United States Marine Corps Scout Snipers normally beat the living shit out of everyone every year.

It's the same when they do joint naval or aviation exercises. Last year the French managed to defeat a US carrier battle group in a simulated battle. Shortly before that Britain's Royal Airforce accomplished a 3:1 kill death ratio in a simulated dogfight.
Sounds impressive right? Except the previous 30,000 times those exercises were conducted OPFOR got curb stomped. It's so astonishing when another military can beat the US military even 1 time in a SIMULATED exercise, it makes national headlines.

People will think this is a generic burgerclap answer, but it's not wrong. The US sends generic teams to all these competitions - it sent a random SF team to the Jordan operator-olympics, for example, not CAG people.

China seems to be headed into that mindset as well with their last war game. You learn more from loosing most of the time anyway.

With that said, good on the leprechauns, they obviously took what they learned in previous competitions and applied it, let's remember that they still beat a lot of other teams and it isn't a hollow achievement

The last one of these I heard about was an American competition where an Air Force team swept the competition. There was also a CQB type competition where some random SWAT team won.

In spite of all that if ISIS is about to saw through my neck I'd rather have Delta come rescue me.
