this. shot my sister's boyfriend's type 97, get a mouthful of powder and hot brass pinging off my nose. 10/10 would shoot again. Had to cross-eye cant the damn thing to address the issue.

I'm very ignorant in the realm of bullpups, the only real fact i know is you get a longer barrel in the same length of rifle which is it's main advantage

Just that issue of the bad triggers. I'm sure that will be widely fixed in the future. Bullpups are the future, and I intend to make one my next purchase. Probably a 20" MDR when those come out.

My MSAR was put up against a preban AUG.

out of 500 rounds (magdumping 8 42 round magazines at a time) I can tell you that the AUG (and msar fuck you) are the same fucking gun and ate away at ..340? rounds like it was nobodies business. There were like 4 ftfs that were pretty much magazine issues. MSAR had to get oiled.

Always trust the bullpups.

AKs are reliable.

The proof is in the pudding, or in this case the AUG's track record and adaptation by dozens of nations around the globe. Its got all of the usual bullpup complaints. Reliability and durability aren't really something I've ever seen come up.

My main concerns with bullpups are:
1. Doesn't the weight feel weird? Isn't it odd to shoot and aim?
2. Aren't the triggers typically bad?
3. What about the lack of customizability?
Bullpups seem like an answer to a problem that wasn't there.

The weight is fine, dont be a woman. Its heavy in the middle/back but when you get used to it its great for barrel control.

Triggers are bad on tavors. Thats about it.

It's heavier in back, toward your body, so no, it feels very light.

Very typically, though they can vary. AUG trigger is just about fine.

Aftermarket. Just about everything comes with rails nowadays.

Its not the main advantage. Its the only advantage. Shorter overall length is a good idea in mechanised or airborne roles, but a better idea is to just use folding stocks. If youre in the vehicle, you dont need the stock...once you exit spend a second and deploy your stock and carry on without being hobbled with a bullshit rifle while youre actually shooting it

Fine. I shot an AUG one-handed and it was shockingly comfortable. I could even shoot my 1911 in the other hand and was almost able to hit things
