I have both. And the biggest difference is the trigger. The K31 has a good trigger, the Enfield is barely better then the Mosin's. And then ammo, it's easier and cheaper to get match ammo for the K31.

I'm not saying the Lee Enfield is a pile of shit or anything though. It's still a solid rifle that's fun to shoot and plenty accurate. One of mines 97 years old and is still a monster at the range.

Tbh I'm still happy paying $300-$400 for a nice SKS. Still cheaper than an AK and they're fun, handy rifles. It's not like the mosin where it isn't good outisde of its price. The SKS is a nice rifle on its own and it's really a miracle that they were going so cheap before.

If you bother fixing a worn out nugget they are great guns, 200$ isn't bad if you wanna shoot a .308 like caliber for fairly cheap. I have three and love them, but I will tell newer shooters to opt out for something else unless they want to learn how to fuss with said funs , and also how to tune rifles, as nugget is easy to tune.
