>>27691206I realize that, and have already done so. The problem is that the asshole who requisitions our shit doesn't care about quality, and the people who send it to us know it.
Therefore, they send us the shittiest plates they have, and take our money.
It's a fucking retarded system, and the asshole needs to be fired, but thanks to good ole government bureaucracy, it'll never happen.
My bosses are more concerned with ignoring problems so they don't have to do shit than they are with actual law enforcement.
It's the same problem with our vehicles. Since they're all shared, nobody gives a fuck about them, and it shows. We just had a relatively new vehicle ("new" by my agency's standards is about 3-4 years old) engine seize cause nobody cared enough to check to see if there was oil in the damn thing.
I had to drive a 2010 impala yesterday with 140k miles, a barely functioning transmission, no air conditioning or defrost, torn up seats and headliner, and half of it's equipment broken or removed.
Base radio station? Pulled out.
Dash cam? Broken and removed
Laptop? Not a fucking chance
We have to use an air force motor pool to repair our shit, and they give absolutely zero fucks.
That's how most of our vehicles are.
