Is Samco legit?

Hey /k/

I'm interested in buying a firearm (specifically a Swiss K31) and Samco is a website I came across.

I figured you would know whether or not they are a legit website or not.

also, what do you guys think of the K31?

My K31's pretty great.

I actually have another question, how common is the 7.5x55mm Schmidt-Rubin ammo? (if that is the ammo lol) I'm just thinking I'm not sure I want to have a gun that the only way to get ammo is to have it flown in (not that I won't stockpile some but, you know)

its slowly going the way of 8mm mauser.The surplus is running low but there is still a couple of manufacturers out there.But the plus is that surplus is basically match grade ammo.

Common enough to buy in bulk cheaper than you can .308

You really can't go wrong with a K31.
But it is heavy

The surplus swiss stuff is berdan primed, it can be reloaded if you can source primers or if you are willing to modify the case (I recommend downloading if you do)

There are plenty of manufacturers of new boxer primed brass out there, K31's are loved in Switzerland and the US.
If you reload you can use 308 projos too

I mean it's worth every ounce, it's roughly comparable but a bit lighter than my M1 garand or M1917 but it balances differently than said guns

My Enfield No4 feels lighter but they actually near weigh the same.

Certain guns just balance differently and feel different, an 8lb Mas 49/56 feels like a 5lb gun it's just so perfectly balanced
