If China was striving to become a military superpower on par with the US within the next 20 years, what would they have to achieve/what would their goals be if they were to accomplish this?

>Establish an indigenous weapons industry not reliant on copying/reverse engineering foreign weapon systems
>Develop a navy capable of adequate force projection
