>>27691454My dad has a 329PD and it's pretty brutal to shoot 240 grain .44 magnums with, but not too bad for a short shooting session. As long as you can train yourself to not flinch, you can be very effective with one.
I also had a 360PD, which is an 11 ounce .357 magnum snub nose, and I really, really didn't like how it shot. It flipped in my hand much more than the 329PD and would regularly draw blood on my palm before I'd shot 10 rounds through it. But I still do kick myself over selling it, if only because it was so unique (but I don't miss it enough to buy a second one).
Someday, I will buy either a S&W 460V (.460 magnum with 5" barrel, 61 oz), or a S&W 69 (L frame, 5-shot .44 magnum, 37 oz). Until then, I will continue to use my Glock 20 for wilderness defense.
>>27696436>>27693290FYI, the 386PD is an 18 ounce handgun, which is on par with the .357 Ruger LCR. The 360PD is 11 ounces. Eleven fucking ounces. Yes, a 64% increase in weight makes a difference.
