Do you think the people who work in the ATF believe they are making America safer?

A lot of government workers who do shit like this ( LEOs, FBI, Fire departments etc etc ) tend be very far right and all for guns. Do you think the ATF agent who gives someone 3 years in prison for having a shotgun 1 inch too short honestly believes he is making America safer?

Anyone who works for a government agency is unwittingly part of a machine designed to steal from citizens and slowly drive them mad.

Everything is illegal in America. We have so many laws our millions of lawyers can't count them all. This includes stupid laws like not keeping alligators in bathtubs or bringing lobsters across state lines. On top of the estimated 10,000 Federal laws are thousands more city, state, and county laws, BUT ALSO the maddeningly massive IRS code which nobody can completely keep in line with. On average I'd say each American commits a felony each day. I got in an argument with someone about this and they said "I could see it being reasonable to say each American commits a misdemeanor each day but no way is it a felony each day" and I retort with this- continuously committing misdemeanors is a felony. Kinda like the three strikes law, but applied to misdemeanors.

Every American that doesn't have a felony yet is basically on the run from the law- including police officers. I'd bet money the DEA is responsible for bringing drugs into this country. We have a million police officers backed up with countless millions in support personnel and money, and we have a military in the millions too. If they wanted drugs out of this country, they would be gone. Narcotics are not gone though. It's a system of entrapment designed to steal from people.

On top of that, Americans are being poisoned and are not mentally sound. Doctors look at a small amount of toxic material like mercury in their medicines and go "oh it's ok, it's a tiny amount far from toxicity" and fishermen look at the amount of toxins in their food and go "oh it's ok, it's only a small amount of poison, it's far from a dosage that would have noticeable effects" and so on and so on and so on until we are regularly receiving toxic amounts of chemicals in our bodies.

So welcome to America. Everything is illegal and everyone is criminally insane.

I think the ATF is a mixture of people who actually care and those who have been indoctrinated by the liberal bullshit.

My friend got his FFL- he said that the ATF agent who went over everything with him was extremely friendly and conveyed that they just want him to be successful.

They're stuck between a rock and a hard place, and I'm sure we're all aware they are puppets to the higher shit powers

There's that guy that does initial visits, there are the normal agents, and then there's the axe men that go in to revoke the FFL. Science collectively believes they earth ages 50,000 years each minute. In a decade or two they'll probably think they earth is 4 billion years old. Half of us can't remember what we ate for breakfast last month but somehow we figured out how the universe began?

The guys in the field offices are typically cool. They know the retards in Washington fuck everything up for everybody, but they can't do shit about it as a field agent. My friend owns a pawn shop, some assclown broke in at night and stole 3 AK47s, an AR10, and a couple of handguns. He gave the ATF the serial numbers, 2 months later one of the AK's turned up in a drug bust, figured out who sold the guy the thing, went to his house, found some of the missing guns in his closet, found out he had traded the others for drugs, so they had local law enforcement get those people, they logged the missing guns as evidence. Once they were done being used as evidence the ATF returned the guns to my buddy and thanked him for reporting it to them since finding the stolen weapons had assisted in modifying the sentences of half a dozen shit heads in the last 7 months.

In all honesty, from what i've seen of how they work, that actually IS what they do (nabbed a guy selling "not a silencer" kits on Ebay after he got into some heavier stuff).

The problem is that regardless of what they normally do, they have the ABILITY to fuck you if they want. Performance review coming up? Budget being submitted? Agent's got a wild hair up his ass? They can hit you just as hard as they hit that drug dealer. That's not cool.

ATF doesn't hand down sentences. That's what courts do.

Regarding your other points-

No, I don't believe ATF agents do it because they think they're making the country safer or saving lives. If they did they would either concentrate on the A and T parts of their jobs, or they would go to work for the Brady Campaign.

They do it because it's a well paying job with excellent benefits. And they get to push people around.
