What does the M1(A1,2...) driver use for night driving?
I suspect that he installs some kind of a passive night vision block instead of his main vision block

Yes, but you have thermal night vision (which I doubt the driver has in any sort of way)

Than you have the Russian way, to put small IR headlight on the front of the tank and the driver switches his day time vision block with a block that picks up IR

And you have passive vision blocks which pick up the light from starts and the Moon.
