So my FIL just about lost his eye with a critical revolver failure. Both his shooting goggles and his eyeglass were shattered but nothing in the eye. It was a .44 mag Taurus ( yeah, I know) and the cylinder failed completely. Like in pic, but all around and not just one blowout. The thing is, each piece is symmetrical but none of the other rounds went off. Three questions: are these guns pot metal, do you think this was a double charge and should he accept a replacement?
