>>27697999>>27698916Where did I say anything about weed? Dope is a waste of life. Although, if you're interested in general freedom and fiscal responsibility, yes, legalization should be a top priority. The costs of prohibition far outstrip the societal costs of recreational drug use, which we still have to pay despite our best efforts. Furthermore, people should have autonomy over their own bodies in their own living spaces. This is a basic matter of personal freedom and I'd think that gun owners who are used to getting kicked around for no reason would recognize that. In an indirect way, it will also help reduce pressure on us: less gang violence = less scapegoating of gun owners.
>taxesUnless you're well into 6 figures a year, your taxes are going to go down.
>muslims increasing Liberal voting blockIf they hadn't alienated them with stupid bullshit about clothing choice, Muslims would probably vote conservative. You think religious people gravitate towards the NDP? Get a grip. 1st gen immigrants fucking loved Harper - who, as it happens was also bringing in a bunch of Syrian refugees.
>MUH BASIC FREEDOMSNo Canadian government in my memory has been as interested in restricting free speech and the flow of information as the Conservatives were, from C51, to muzzling government scientists, to limiting contact between caucus and the press, to preventing the public from viewing environmental research that was funded with tax money.
Guns are something we're gonna have to fight for no matter what party is in power. If we all just side with the Conservatives and stop talking to other parties, who's going to be the dissenting voice within the Liberals/NDP/Green who looks across the table at the gun grabbers and tells them that they're idiots with bad ideas? We're letting them drive policy in all the other federal parties. This doesn't even have anything to do with who you vote for, but send them letters, emails, and sign petitions like this one.
