Is an AK-103 with iron sights and a Glock 17 good enough for security work? Have to protect a large field with corn on it and a smaller portion of wood against thiefes and large animals (hogs and deers)

I dont think i will get into a situation where 30 rounds isnt enough honestly.

Worst case was shooting 2 rounds into the air then 2 small burst into their direction when they didnt wanted to drop the bags in which they carried nuts, although i wasnt aiming at them just wanted to scare them away.

Other then that shot a a hog and 2 stray big dogs who were attacking

Guns are not mine i work as security and the company provides them.
I did a 3 month long armed security guard course which gave me a gun license and i can work as an armed security guard :D

AK iron sights are notoriously shit dude. I would suggest putting a red dot on that AK if you need to watch over the field in low light. also maybe bring a flashlight.

To all the people here saying gettings guns in EU is so easy: it's really not. I wish it was, but it's pretty fucking hard an illegan gun. The 'huge' gun cache found at motorclubs were all shitty .22's. Not 1 quality firearm. Most robberies are done with knives and alarm guns, even criminals seem to have a hard time finding guns.

It easier to find kilo's of various harddrugs than quality firearms sellers. I would pay over 1000eur for a nice AK, but nobody has that. I live in West- EU. If drugs is so easily obtainable via illegal trade, why not guns?

this is actually dependent on the type of farm.
there are federal laws in the state for large corn farms that do allow trespassers to be dealt with at the owners discretion, they are pretty much federally sanctioned to 1. kill any animal life on their property 2. kill to protect their crop.

I worked on a farm [one of the largest sweet corn growers in New England] we had 2 armed guards and they legally could shoot trespasser. Hell, the guy driving the tractor had a 30/30 in the cab and when he saw an animal eating crops he would stop the tractor and shoot it.
