Alright fellow /k/ommandos, I'm in the market for a rifle scope that's going to get some hard use. I've been scouring the internet trying to find a scope that meets a set of requirements but I just can't seem to find that magic one.
Here's what I'm looking for in a scope:
-Compact (reasonably, <12in)
-at least 6x, preferably 1-8,1-10, 3-10, 3-12, etc. (though fixed is ok of significantly lighter/shorter)
-Horus or Horus type reticle (reticles that have Mil subtensions and multiple elongated stadia lines/secondary crosshairs (able to switch between an AR and a SCAR 17)
-Mil/Mil
-FFP
-Illuminated (especially if a 1x or 1.1x scope)
-weight in the range of 16oz-25oz (lighter always preferred)
-rugged/durable/shockproof
-Preferably good turrets/zero stop/zero reset
-side parallax adjustment
-adjustable focus
Here are the contenders I've found so far:
Mark 6 3-18x44mm M5B2

Mark 8 1.1-8x24mm CQBSS M5B1
https://www.leupold.com/tactical/scopes/mark-8-riflescopes/mark-8-1-1-8x24mm-cqbss-m5b1-front-focal/
IOR-Valdada 1-10x26 35mm LTS 2
http://www.valdada.com/1-10x26-35mm-lts-2-ffp-mil-mil-circle-dot-x1-super-bright-illum/
NXS™ 2.5-10×42 COMPACT RIFLESCOPE
http://nightforceoptics.com/nxs/2-5-10x42
I'm leaning towards the Mark 6 (I can get it at around the same price as the Valdada) or the IOR Valdada. All the scopes are missing some small things here and there, so now I'm just trying to get the best all around. It's going to be used in hilly terrain, from close range out to potentially 1000m (depends on the platform). Money is really of no object, though I'd like to stay around the 2k-3.5k range (or below) if possible (without sacrificing quality).
What say you /k/ommandos?
