So what did you pick up recently.

1939 tt-33 in ridiculously good condition aside from the stamps. Gonna pick up some new wooden grips for it in a few weeks. It deserves it.

I found out today that I've got degenerative disc disease and the reason I have headaches and neck pain almost every day is because I have three vertebrae that are bone on bone.
I'm only 27 and otherwise healthy.
If I'm in this much pain now, I don't want to think about 20 years from now.

I've gotten more stuff in the last week than the last 6+ months. A couple small ammo purchases, a free knife, and a free replacement for shovel that suffered minor damage this fall.
That's probably all the new stuff I'll be getting for a while. Now I have to save most of my pennies for some big bills that'll hit me on the 1st of the year.

Those marschall grips look nice. Make sure you shoot your tok before you buy them though. I bought a makarov and liked it a lot, then shot it, (very poorly) and didnt care much for it and sold it. I was planning on getting some marschalls before I shot them. glad I didnt now.

I got mine at wjq-308.com, their policy is that if anything's damaged within 3 years you get a free replacement. I'd have been boned if I got it on ebay.
I broke the can opener off on my first one, pretty minor really. It's handy as hell on the farm and in the garden. I always have it with me out working, and one in my car.
They're probably too expensive for what they are, but I want certain specific things and will pay to get them. It's a good jack of all trades, master of being a shovel and digging tool with the blade set at 90 degrees.

Get the surgery bro. I had 2 ruptured in my lumbar, lived for years in constant fucking pain, back would go out every other month and have to lose 2 weeks pay every time so it could heal.. had surgery, backs still stiff from time to time and have to deal with the occasional bouy of spasms... but living with that is much easier than being a grumpy asshole thats in pain all the time. Also smoke bud if you can, it helps me way better than narco pain meds and with more positive side effects than the negatives that come with taking opiod pain meds fot extended periods of time

Why do people think like this? Those Bakelite grips are vintage as fuck. I couldn't imagine any other kind of grips on that gun.

How bad did I mess up trading an east german mak, Bulgarian mak, and 17 boxes of ammo for an "Irish contract" Lee Enfield No.4 Mk2 and a Type 99? the they both look like they are in pretty good condition but I dont have them yet. the Type 99 Wasnt a super late war gun, it still has good sights, a metal butt plate, a smooth pineapple shaped bolt knob, but it has the less fancy safety plate knob.

Its not hard to remove the safety.

Literally take off the slide release retaining clip and the safety falls right off. The problem is there is a 1/4" hole that will remain that you either need to weld over or plug.

I cut back my safety so I could put new grips on, but left just enough so that the hole is cover. I'll probably have my gunsmith make a new plug and blue it for $20 some day.

Nice OP. I got a Czech Tokarev. No Star on the grip, still a good gun.

Be careful of putting that gun back together btw. When you put in the recoil spring, if your thumb slips off the button thing on the front, it will fly off the spring into the atmosphere, never to be seen again

A Czech Tokarev? They adopted the Vz.52 pistol instead of the Russian Tokarev design.

As for star grips, my Romanian had a star on the grips but my Polish did not.

I almost bought one. I was like a month away from dropping the cash and surplus disappeared without any warning almost overnight.
At least I got luckier with my ak74, I was stocking up on 10-11c/r after shipping ammo for a year or two. Even as a poorfag, that added up to a few crates.
