Plenty of people join for fairly short stints. It's rough on your body/mind/home life/etc.

I'm a fan - much better than the SR-25 in terms of maintenance/reliability. There are still some SR-25s in inventory, but they're being completely phased out. Mk 20 is a fuckin dream.

Coo, I bought one of the M110 carbines that was apparently "recycled" back to KAC in return for the newer Keymod uppers for "some govt buyer"

I love it so far.

you could, but its probably frowned upon. And usually to get there you have to do some time in the service anyway so at that point youre more or less locked in. You could get out f the field and be an instructor

I think only Rangers can really get away with four and done. Given how at least one year is solely dedicated to your training you want to keep people in as long as possible. Most I've gathered from Ec-SoF guys that like showing up on television shows is around eight years.
