Like every fucking week. The Russians frequently creep around near our airspace to test our response time. They do this to various Europoor countries as well.

I see lots of RAF and FAA aircraft in there, there are several FAA phantoms, a Lighting, a coupple Typhoons and some Tornado F3's.

The rest (with the exception of the F15's out of Iceland and the F22's) all seem to be Naval aviation.

The cloud looks thick and extensive so its probably cold and below 10K, giving the imprssion of high altitude. Contails wont really form over 25K so i'd guess 30-40K somewhere within the F15's cruise altitude.

I can't find any picture like that at all.

I don't think NATO was as desperate for attention. They kept their bombers at a greater distance.

The only "intercepts" of the B-52 that I can find are this pic of a B-52 being "intercepted" by the Dutch Royal air force.

I'm from Scotland (which is in the UK). I have a firearms certificate, and i own a SMLE, the obligatory nugget a Benelli Supernova and some generic under over from my dad that's been used for clays once.

Unfortunately all of it is at my parents house because i live in a flat and cant install a gun safe.

I think the biggest thing to learn from the no planes in the air for weeks is that multiple guys/hunters/scientists were left stranded because they couldn't get a ride and no way to communicate.

Have a plan if you get dropped off by a guide plane or radio communications.
