For the most part you're fucked, but there's a silver lining. The syracuse gun show is almost entirely milsurp, so if you like collecting, you'll still be entertained. If not, learn to love it. Last time I was there, I saw a mint type 99 with mum intact and shiny bore for $300, but I already spent my shekels on a mint condition 1942 m1 carbine + 1100 rounds of ammo (only $1600!). Seriously good deals to be had there. As for fun stores in that area, there are a few, but they're pretty small. There's Interlaken and boltworks tactical. Those are the only two I know of.
