Why shouldnt the USN give the Nimitz to the USMC so they can turn it into a giant up armored fortress covered in guns with stores of food and ammo etc. They can then sail this onto a Chinese island as its sovereign territory of the USA.

If the US did do that, they would use a covert ops group like delta, they would need more infiltration and espionage guys, than elite soldiers like the seals.

You want to use individual weapons instead of 5" deck guns, Harpoon, Tomahawk, and Sm-3 missiles, torpedoes, JDAMS, F/A18's, MH60 Seahawks, CIWIS, SeaRAM, and Hellfires?
