Though I did upgrade the grips to VZ Grips "Frag" pattern grips in black paper micarta.
Turns a great gun into a fucking AMAZING gun.

Good luck finding a decent holster, though. There's some cross-fit info out there if you Google it. Then again, since I bought it, maybe there's more on the market. Been awhile since I checked.

Things P-01 has that PCR doesn't:
Light rail
Regular sights
Small recessed area around the slide stop pin to cut down on the button bulging
"recurve" trigger
Rubber magazine floor pads
NATO stamp and Czech Police testing
Full dust shield
Forward slant slide serrations on front, vertical slide serrations on rear

Things PCR has that the P-01 doesn't:
Loaded chamber indicator
No recessed area for slide stop button
Silver serrated trigger
Snag-free pseudo-Novak style sights with machined area on slide to fit rear sight (will become noticeable with aftermarket sights)
Lighter weight
Easier concealability
Forward slant slide serrations on front and rear

Great buy OP. I love my P01.

Recently picked up some Meprolight tritium sights for it, but the local gun smith fucked up the installation... He told me they weren't the right size and fit loose, and that I should get a warranty replacement. It turns out he filed off several thousandths on the bottom doing the fitting. Fucking cock sucker. Paid that cunt eighty-fucking-five dollars...

Now meprolight won't warranty replace, but they will sell me a new sight at cost.

Also, if you plan to get more mags, make sure to buy CZ/Mecgar mags, nothing else fits right.

I have an Alien Gear with a custom kydex piece that lets me carry my P-01 with my TLR-3 installed.

An inexpensive option is the DeSantis Sof-Tuk as well

The CZ Custom Shop sells complete upper assemblies (slide, barrel, recoil spring and guide rod).

However, a Shadow slide has no firing pin block, so any frame you attempt to fit it to has to have the firing pin block lever removed, and the sear has to be replaced with a pre-B large style sear.

Also, the regular 75B and SP-01 slides have 4.7" barrels. The Tactical Sport models have a larger frame and slide and use a 5.4" barrel. The TS frame is also the same frame used for the 97 models.

There are some custom models at the CZ Custom shop with Tactical Sport slides fitted to the regular 75 model frames:

CZ's barrel finish isn't really known to be good.
Hell, some earlier ones had barrels with no outer finish.

I use red bearing grease on the rails and barrel so they wont look shittier than they already do. Aside from that, can't ask for more from a $500 gun. Just wanted to make sure I didn't get conned into buying a used gun for NIB price. I would post a picture but the slide stop is extremely difficult to take out right now for some reason.

I got them for the same reason: I really like this dark walnut look. You'll have to file out a notch for the extended trigger release to fit through on the right side if you have a newer model CZ 75B though, but don't worry, it takes about 3 minutes and absolutely minimal skills.

CZ clones allowed? Picked up this in a pawn shop this week for $400, not sure who makes it but it has the CZ inside rails and single grip screw. Shoots okay too

It exists because Colt, on the brink of bankruptcy, commissioned a weapon to compete in the american law enforcement market because their All American was a steaming pile of shit. CZ designed and manufactured it as the Colt Z40 for a very short time before Colt went bankrupt and cancelled the project.

This left CZ with a whole bunch of tooling, slides, and frames and no contract, so they scratched out Colt Z40 on the side, slapped on CZ40B and made pistols until they at least broke even.

I bought it because it was interesting, and now that I have it I can say that it is pretty exceptional for a 40sw.

My CZ decides not to fire bullets like 1/4 trigger pulls. There's no indentation on the primer and I put in the original mainspring, so I don't think it's a light strike issue. When I bought the CGW hammer, I neglected to purchase the pins for the hammer/disconnector, and used the staked ones again. I had to file on down a little to get it back in.

Is that likely to be the cause, or should I investigate other things?

When I have enough money I'm going to get the short reset kit and extended firing pin, so I could throw in some extra pins. But I also need to get my C96 relined and refinished and everything, so I'm not sure where all this falls on my shopping list.

Yes, you fucked up. Both the Hammer and Trigger are staked from the factory and you shouldn't re-use them after removal. CGW sells pins for this, I'm surprised the hammer didn't come with one?

I'd imagine you'd have more of an issue with the pins not staying put than light strikes, but give CGW a call and ask. Hopefully the worst case scenario is you need $10 in parts.
