I'm running 9mm 147 gr Hydra-Shok JHP - Federal Premium
Definitely pleased with penetration (HAR HAR) but bullet expansion a shit

looks like I'll switch over to the remington golden saber

Nice layout, hopefully they'll redo the tests using pistols with barrels longer than a Korean cock so it's actually useful for me.

Makes sense to use a small handgun

Generally they have the worst performance as loads are made for longer barrels

I personally carry a Glock 26 so this is useful info for me

Now for my work gun its not AS useful as I use a 17 for that, but its still relevant information

yeah but I was just talking about within the 9mm 147gr rounds they tested. What I'm running is almost the worst of the whole bunch in terms of avg expansion.

I guess they are kind of assuming most people who use defensive ammunition are conceal carrying, and therefore using pistols with short(er) barrels. Statistically they are probably right.

That being said I would agree with you, would be interesting to see what an extra inch or two does.
