>>27719200Home drill: Put sticker, thumb tack, etc. on wall. Get DA pistol with dummy round in it, put sights on target while sitting, kneeling, or standing. Pull trigger while watching sight picture, practicing breathing and trigger control.
Live drill: Do the same thing while actually firing at a target. This is mainly for beginners or shooters out of practice to ensure they aren't flinching or pulling to the side.
Live drill 2: Have range buddy load up mags with a mix of live rounds and dummies. Draw, fire 3 rounds center mass, holster. Clear rounds and continue to fire as needed. Not every mag needs to have dummy rounds, the idea isn't to expect dummies, but to react to them without pause or panic. Mix this with mozambique drills if you want.
Live fire 3: On an outdoor training course with obstacles present, practice both slicing corners and firing 3 rounds on targets while moving between obstacles. Do not stop between the concealment. Ideally, having a friend load the random dummies here works perfectly, because you have a chance of firing, clearing, and continuing to fire without pause and without stopping foot movement between spots.
However, I'm not a fan of obstacle courses mainly due to the fact that there aren't any near where I live.
