French bus was attacked by suspected Islamic terrorists this past Friday (23 October) at around 7:30 a.m. (local time) near the town of Puisseguin, close to the city of Libourne, and east of Bordeaux, and killed at least 43 people.

According to this report, on the morning of this attack, a suspected smuggling truck with a cargo originating in Bulgaria was stopped on a rural roadway by 4 Saudi Arabian nationals near the French town of Puisseguin who had the intention of stealing its cargo which was bound for the Port Atlantique Bordeaux.

Upon the successful hijacking of this trucks illegal cargo, this report continues, the Saudi Arabian nationals then placed within this vehicle a “thermobaric weapon” designed to destroy all signs of this attack—but which upon its detonation, most unfortunately, it also engulfed a passenger/tourist bus that had suddenly emerged on the scene of this crime.

A thermobaric explosion, this report notes, is one that utilizes oxygen from the surrounding air to generate an intense high-temperature explosion, and which is clearly evident in the photos taken of these two vehicles.
