This is one of the reasons you'll see stuff like

Back in the day, Colt, in all of their wisdom decides hey lets make a non-standard BCG probably because lol peons won't be able to convert this to full-auto. And lo and behold here comes the LL. And soon enough thereafter there goes the SP1 BCG.
Its sort of along the lines of a low shelf or high shelf lower. Except in that case it's more of a, "lets save ourselves a couple of bucks and cut down on machine time by a minute since 99.99 percent of these things were selling will never have the need for a FA trigger pack installed"
