For missions like the crazy raid that delta team just did on the ISIS prision They probably came in a multitude of helicopters including those resources that may have been used to take some of the prisoners back for questioning. They also bombed the roads leading to the prison to prevent a counter attack.
Its a shame that modern "Special operations" is simply just brute force tactics. If it wasn't for the name this type of shit could have been handled by the marines.
