Here's the scoop:
(Assuming you're in a good major and you're Airborne qualified)
1. Commission into Infantry.
1.5. Go to Ranger School
2. Supermax every PT test in IBOLC (300+)
3. Get assigned to high-speed unit (173rd ABN, 10th MTN and 25th ID have high optempo's, you will be deployed)
4. Kick ass, get ranked first of the 2lt's
5. Go to either SFAS or RASP
6. Join either SF or 75th RR
7. Complete their training workups (DLC, HALO, other high-speed schools)
8. Deploy with SF/75th RR
9. Come back alive, be ranked high among 1LTs
10. ????? spoopy shit ??????
11. Be Delta
It helps to graduate from a Senior Military College (VMI, Virginia Tech, Texas A&M, Citadel, Norwich, North Georgia) and to have a good GPA in something like a language (especially Arabic, Pashto, Farsi, Urdu, Russian, Cantonese, Mandarin), Political Science/International Studies, History, Government or something of that nature.
You also need to qualify for a TS/C clearance (Top secret compartmentalized) and not know any foreign nationals. Be prepared for your life to be evaluated from every angle. If your neighbor thinks you don't wholeheartedly love America, no-go hombre.
