No groupshots from me, because I have a feeling most people's 100 yard shots are really 100 foot shots.

Question from last thread, is bushmaster as good as BCM? Or, does BCM's additional price of 30% really justify itself for the average /k/ shooter?

Pic is my current BCM, 9lb 9 ounces. I took the sling off because nobody has time to be getting that caught on anything in the house.

Any of you use lower 1/3 cowitness? I have absolute on my current AR. But I just ordered a complete new setup, all I need is a lower and a red dot.

Midway seems to have good reviews of the upper. I think I'll spend the extra $10 and roll the dice on the QC.

I prefer high power and extreme accuracy at long ranges over everything else.
Loving the .284 6.5mm Norma, lovely 1/4 moa accuracy, can go absolute pinpoint with a stock weight, barrel weight/silencer and carefully handloaded matchrounds.

Well, the tl;dr is this:
The blackened ones take about 5x more time to make.

why?
They are "liploads"(meaning, the bullets can be pulled off the case by hands, they are very loose, cant put them in a magazine), deburred flash holes and case mouth, carefully selected casings, neck turning measured, powder charge is measured with a manual scale and so on...

They are more accurate than the rounds i use for shooting pewpewpew.

Its basically just microparticles that make the surface of the bullet smoother by filling the microscopic imperfections on the bullets surface.
Your gun stays accurate longer, and with the black rounds having it is a MUST HAVE as they have a velocity of 1000m/s which will foul the shit out of the barrel otherwise.
I could drive the velocity further but i have zero reasons to do so.

here's everything I hand load. 75 bthp shoots sub moa out of the mk12 upper even though it's almost seated just as deep as A-max. I just loaded up the rest to 2800 fps with 4064 stick powder and it's gonna be my home defense ammo.

I haven't done much reloading, but is there a tangible benefit to drylubing each bullet with such an exotic material?

my 5 minutes of google show graphite and even talc as a similar dry lubricant.

Yeah, your gun doesnt get dirty as fast and it increases accuracy.

If you want to consistently shoot a coin at 300-400 meters i say using the extra time, effort and money to surface treat the bullets is worth it.

I just put the bullets in a shakeyshakey basket for 2-4 hours with a bunch of tiny ball bearings and moly dust. That does the trick

moly disulfide works by shearing along 'sheets' or planes, as do other dry lubricants. I don't see the point in it for bullets; I'd think the interference fit would be such that it wipes away with the surrounding material so fast that it doesn't do much. I could be wrong though.

the stuff fills in the tiny imperfections on the bullets surface, preventing the barrel from getting dirty, though eventually itl get dirty but you dont get fouling. I havent noticed any differences in velocities when using the moly stuff.

Clean it like you would thoroughly clean any gun. It's just some cheap but normal lube. They probably test fired your upper before they shipped it, and that was the lube they used I'm sure.

I actually went full circle and ordered a CH for my A4gery because I no longer enjoyed shooting it with the ACOG (that I bought after I got rid of the CH that the rifle came with originally).
Now I switch my carbine between the ACOG, Micro and BUIS and when I feel like something different, I just shoot the A4 with the CH irons.
