For a company who isn't reckless with excessively low profit, reason would say that something in the lower price model would have to be lesser. I've seen this for myself, whether it's unimportant parts that you'd have to spend hundreds on not too far down the road, or that the walls on the gas tube or barrel are too thin/metal is too low of a quality for a 1000 round day worth of abuse. The latter you actually end up paying for. If you not having your fingers is worth a couple hundred bucks, buy the doorbuster price AR.
