Can't afford to shoot my gun edition...

How many boxes of ammo do you guys usually shoot at the range, and how often do you go?

Also, whats a good base to build a MEU pistol? Debating on converting my Norc 1911, or just dropping a grand on a Springfield.

Minimum a box of 100 per gun I bring. Usually 300-500 per gun. But I don't get to go often.

I bring a box or 2 when I shoot my ,45, but I'm afraid of not practicing enough (I go once every 1-2 months).

honestly a 1911 thread shouldnt even need a bump. i have a feeling its just because of the time of day. i dont really get a chance to shoot that often. i love the price and availability of 9mm, but i shoot the 1911 so much better.

I've gone through only 3k rounds and there is this tiny bit of horizontal play that I started having on the front of the rails which I never had before. Is this normal or should I send it in? The play is like almost not there, I really need to try hard to notice it.
