Hello /k/ first time posting here.

Lately I've been interested in archery, I even have some experience shooting compound bows as a child and building a handcrafted long bow in shop class.

I would like any information useful to a beginner, my step father back in the day would let me use his and I wasn't a bad shot but now years later I know nothing.

What I'm asking about is
>how to determine what size bow to get
>what are quality brands?
>are second hand craigslist bows ok or is it best to get a new one?
>and for the sake of sounding retarded to a clerk if I'm right handed and hold my bow in the left is that called a left or right handed bow?

Any other info you guys would think is helpful is appreciated
