There are various reasons for this.

Most 'chasers' are interested in the male aspects of MtF trans people tend to stifle the development of feminine nature in such people. Such stifling is not appreciated.

Most 'chasers' tend to be interested in the penis of trans girls . . . and most trans girls don't want to use their penis, or even have it, or have any attention brought to it. These things don't mesh well together either.

If there were people attracted to trans people that did not follow either of those trends, they would likely be accepted fairly well.

It is a natural tendency of a trans to work towards being more visibly female in looks and mannerisms. There are some chasers who don't want somebody that looks like a girl entirely, and try to stifle that development. This was the thing I was pointing towards.

Anyway, chasers tend to want trans girls who top. Trans girls, in 95% of cases, do not want to top. Chasers tend to look for sexually-charged, short-lived relationships. Trans girls often want something a bit more romantic and possibly longer-lasting.

Also, you guys can be pretty beta a lot of the time.

At least, that's my take on it.

I don't mind topping, but I'm fairly submissive and I don't particularly want to be with a submissive guy, which chasers often are, for more than maybe a one-night stand or two.

For anything serious, romance is nicer than sexuality. I don't want the relationship to be about sex, period. Furthermore, the guy, whoever he may be, must be open to the idea of marriage.

I'm fine with an open relationship (as long as he tells me who he's sleeping with... dishonesty is my #1 hatred), but I'm looking for commitment in my serious relationships. I want to build something meaningful and beautiful, and that's not something you can or want to do without a serious investment.

Because the general assumption is that "chasers" are attracted to trans people specifically because of traits that the trans people are uncomfortable about (e.g. the penis). If a MTF is miserable about having a penis, she's not going to want a boyfriend who focuses on it all the time. Whereas people who just find trans people attractive under the same criteria normally applied to their gender (i.e. they're like "That girl is cute, and I'd be willing to date her even if I find out she has a dick" rather than "I find that girl cute BECAUSE she has a dick") aren't usually called chasers.
