I've been on this board since day 1 and I still don't get this: are the /pol/ posters straight guys trolling or gay guys just going along with "board culture?" Why was /polgbt/ ever a thing to begin with?

I genuinely don't understand how every other post is either

Like, if it's just straights trolling here because they think it's an easy target, I get it, but are the actual LGBT people here like that, too, or are they just playing along because of anonymity? I understand that it's basically the first rule on 4chan to be a cunt for no reason, but this is just insanity. The amount of infighting that happens here for no reason is just astounding. I genuinely don't get why you'd deliberately tear each other down just because everyone else does, too. We were given our own board and in stead of taking the chance to unite ourselves, the only thing we use it for is insulting each other. Bring LGBT stuff to any other board and they tell to go back here, but bring it here and they just tell you to go fuck yourself.

Why is there no in between of hugbox or asshole culture? Why do you do this to yourselves?
