Hons represent the failure to achieve the MTF endgame, that is, being able to blend into society to the point where no one questions if you're trans or not. On top of just that, though, hons represent the seeming complacency with never achieving that goal, an almost "Fuck it, I never made it, but I'm going try and compensate with mannerisms" attitude. That's how the term "hon" was coined, overuse of certain feminine phrases or other mannerisms in order to seem more feminine while still looking/sounding masculine, ie: referring to people as "hon" (short for honey).
To the MTFs on this board, which primarily consist of MTFs who are pre transition, just beginning transition, in the middle of transition, or who are otherwise currently non-passing, hons represent the a very real possibility of what the future could hold for them. Transition is an extremely awkward period, and they view hons as damaging to their self image because "they're just so darn apparent" and "people immediately associate me with them."
So that's why the people on this board hate hons. It's the association factor, the "why can't I just be invisible" feeling.
That and hons are ugly as fuck jesus christ.
