So, /lgbt/, it's been a few months since I've been taking HRT (4mg estradiol and 200mg spironolactone). It's about time I start giving thought to my next order. I think I should switch over to 25mg cyproterone; but the main thing I was thinking about was estradiol pills versus patches. I see 25, 50, and 100 mcg (0.025, 0.05, and 0.1mg) patches on offer. The first question is how long can I use a single patch? Some sources say 3-4 days, others say a full week. Can I actually get a patch's full daily dose for 7 days? Which of those patches is roughly equivalent to 4mg progynova taken sublingually? I assume it's the 50mcg, which would make the 100mcg the 8mg dose's equivalent.
Assuming that is true, I wouldn't switch to patches unless I decided to go up in dosage. That's because on a per day basis (assuming I can use the patches 7 days each) 50mcg is more expensive than 4mg, but 100mcg is less expensive than 6 or 8mg.
