What's wrong with gay bars?

I checked one out the other day and I was incredibly uncomfortable. I was essentially a sensation and center of attention, I'm thinking because I was a fresh face and apparently otters are highly sought after around here.

I hated it. Is it because they're places for people looking to get laid? I don't do one night stands or anonymous sex, so that vibe may have been fucking with me.

Shit sucks, it's really hard to meet anybody and I was kind of hoping it'd be a cool place to talk to people. Instead, all I got was a bunch of dudes with effeminate voices rubbing my shoulders and offering to buy me drinks, "do you wanna hang out somewhere, let's go somewhere more private."
