>>5130792Decapeptyl and lupron stop your body producing testosterone all together and have the least side effects. However the first 1-4 weeks will cause a testosterone spike, before your testes shut down (this can be offset by taking another anti-androgen like cypro or spiro). Also, you need to get a painful injection exactly every 3 months, if you miss your injection by a couple of days you can end up giving yourself a testosterone spike again.
Spiro is just shit.
Cypro is a good balance between spiro and lupron/decapeptyl. As it not only also interrupts the endocrine cycle making your testes stop producing testosterone but it is also an androgen receptor antagonist; that is it binds to androgen receptors so any testosterone you do have floating around is unable to bind and do its thing. Cypro has some side effects but it's pretty debatable if it matters for trans girls. The main side effect is that it's hepatotoxic meaning it can cause liver damage, however studies have shown this is really only the case in prostate cancer patients where they're taking dosages from 200-300mg and that there is little to no hepatoxicity in a low dosage such as that required for mtf hrt (25mg being the standard). The other side effect people worry about is depression, this is one I'm sceptical about as the main people using and studied on cypro are cis men, these are men with prostate cancer usually who need to take a drug that will make them impotent, cause muscle loss, reduce sex drive, generally make them less masculine. So of course they're going to get depressed on it.
