>>5133095idk where you live but it is definitely not cheaper here
before i had insurance, last fall i had my wisdom teeth taken out for 2k, i had to see a doctor 3 times this summer and it was like 180 a visit, not including the cost of prescriptions. then i had to go to the er, so there's another 2200 i'm in debt now. i have nearly 5 grand in debt from 5 visits. $25 a month and 2 dollar copays seem much preferable to me
>>5133094i was the same, it was really confusing and now that i know a little more i definitely didn't pick the exact plan i wanted ( no dental :'( )
but really just google your state + medicaid and you can find the application and whatnot
>>5133117clinic care in my experience has been kinda shitty, they're just worried about getting you in and out asap without much actual treatment. one doctor told me i probably had hiv and kicked me out without any actually help. i actually had tonsilitis.
go to an er if you like forreal can't pay for any care, they can't turn you away without fixing you up. the costs are gonna rack up crazy fast (thousands just for being there and taking up space), but iirc hospital debts don't reflect on your credit score as bad or they can't sue you over it or something idr
