>>5146709>you should be able to-Sure, but again, why?
I think it's safe to say that most people prefer being alive over being dead. If someone were diagnosed with a terminal illness or fell into a vegetative state and made the decision to end their lives or be taken off of life support in that situation however, is that not what they "should" do? Would that person be mentally ill because they want to avoid suffering?
Take for example, you said:
>you should be able to reproduceAlright. We'll set aside physical issues like infertility and intersex conditions. Is wanting to have oral or anal sex a mental disorder? What about masturbation? Wet dreams? Abortions? People who don't want to have children? Those things don't result in reproduction.
And as far as physical things go, such as sight, hearing, smell, movement, etc. there are many other animals (squids, dolphins, bloodhounds, kangaroos) that do those things better or more efficiently than we do. That doesn't make us handicapped or disabled, because we're still in the normal range of human beings' abilities, even though we could - and following your logic, should - perform these things better.
So yes, there are things that we can do to continue the species, but we weren't made or designed to do so. It's fine if it's your goal, or our goal, or even everyone's goal, but that's just like, your opinion man.
