I came across a news article this morning, where it explains that a woman who was born physically as a man (transgender) is to be sent to an all-male prison. In short, she pleaded guilty to an assault crime. Fair enough she will serve punishment. However, because her passport still says "male" on it, they are ignoring the fact she's a woman and she has been sent to an all male prison. The risk here is she will be targeted for assault and there is an extreme risk of death.

The point here is not whether she should serve for a crime but the fact that she is being sent to a male prison. It's similar to putting a sheep into a room of wolves. It's cruel and unreasonable.
