Exercising will at most make you feel better while you exercise. Depression makes your sleep fucked. Fixing your sleep will not solve your depression, fixing your depression will solve your sleep issues. Eating well is just bullshit.

I honestly wish people like you go through a period where you're suicidal for at least a few weeks so you can learn how dumb you sound.

If you're depressed the last thing you should do is try to be ambitious. It will only fuel your depression when you fail at the very first obstacle.

My depression only went away when I gave up fighting it. I had it for years.

Also, do NOT try to think positively. A depressed person trying to think positively is like a cripple trying to walk. When you break your arm you put your arm in a cast and wait for it to heal. The same goes for your depression; your emotions are broken and you have to wait for them to heal by putting them in a cast - not using them. Trying to lift up your emotions when you are depressed will be like trying to life weights with a broken arm.

In fact, even simple things like smiling for no reason (even if you force yourself to) have been shown to make a person happier.

When I finally realized my depression was just a combination of bad habits and self-pity I snapped right out of it.

the human arm isn't supposed to send a twinge of pain through you when you try to lift something, but that's what happens when it is broken
