In terms of Wolfe's canon goes, it's nothing on the scale of, say, TBotNS or Peace. But any Wolfe book is bound to be better than 95% of the other shit put out during the year.
Just finished my first read through. It's a fun read. Certainly in line with some of his more recent offerings like Home Fires and The Land Across. It's better than The Land Across, but still nowhere near his masterpieces (TBotNS, Peace, T5HoC, TWK, etc.)
Here's to hoping the Wolfester can give us one more epic fantasy novel before he croaks
