>>7280446>>7278862Good suggestions here. Godfather novel is an easy read, sometimes Puzo can muddle his phrasing but it's still a fantastic book. True Romance doesn't have the best acting in the world, but it does tell the story pretty well. Plus, you get to see pre-Sopranos James Gandolfini in a mafia roll, so that's cool. Your story premise is pretty generic, no offense meant. It was basically used in Meet the Millers, True Romance (as said), and a lot of others. However, it has a lot of room to find some unique characters and ways of thinking. Stylized writing would be best for you.
