In the context of being allegories for particular aspects of the human psyche in relation to the wider existence of creation, which Greek myths have the most meaning to you personally?

I've always been taken to the myth of Apollo slaying Python at Delphi. The conflicting duality of the imagery is so far reaching in its themes and meaning. Apollo, the embodiment of man's higher nature, the pure thought form of the dreamlike state of ascension to higher ideals, the divine light of truth and inspiration facing down and destroying Python, the embodiment of the unconscious fears of man's lower nature, the very heart of what makes man fear the unknown.

It's the definitive myth of Apollo that exemplifies who he is, the destroyer of unconscious fears by the illuminating light of reason. Through Apollo we can see our higher nature overcome the fears of out lower nature.
